French Onion Butter Rice – The Ultimate Comfort Side Dish!

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat Oven & Prepare Dish

Begin by preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter or oil to avoid sticking.


Step 2: Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan or microwave-safe dish, melt the butter and set it aside.


Step 3: Mix Ingredients

In the prepared baking dish, combine:

  • French onion soup
  • Beef consommé

Pour the melted butter on top and gently stir to meld.


Step 4: Bake Covered First

Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.

This step allows the rice to soak up the liquid and become tender without burning.


Step 5: Uncover for a Crisp Golden Top

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden and slightly crispy.
