Florida: flamingos find their original habitat after a century of disappearance thanks to the restoration of the Everglades

After a century of absence, American flamingos are reappearing in Florida’s wetlands. Hurricane Idalia in 2023 brought back more than 100 birds from the Caribbean, while the restoration of the Everglades is now creating ideal conditions for their permanent return. Scientists are watching closely to see if these pink visitors will finally become full-time residents.
