Health care providers in Illinois are terminating gender-affirming care for minors due to Trump Administration 
Advocate Health Care, one of Illinois’ largest hospital systems, has announced it will no longer offer gender-affirming surgeries or hormone treatments to minors. This decision follows federal directives issued under President Trump’s January 2025 executive order, which pressures institutions receiving federal funds to deny care to individuals under 19.
