Tuesday nights come around fast. After a day at work, making tacos from scratch with all the cleanup that follows… it’s not the most motivating thought. This salad solves that problem.

Ingredients :
- Doritos — Nacho Cheese is the first choice — the cheesy-spicy profile pairs perfectly with the beef spices. Avoid plain Doritos as they don’t bring much to the table. You can also mix two flavors if you feel like it.
- Ground beef — Get at least 15% fat content. Beef that is too lean becomes dry and grainy. The fat melts during cooking and carries the spices into every bite.
- Taco seasoning — A store-bought packet does the job perfectly here. If you don’t have one, mix cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, garlic powder, and a pinch of cayenne pepper — about one tablespoon of the mix for 500g of meat.
- Heavy sour cream — In some places, American sour cream is hard to find. Full-fat heavy crème fraîche or thick sour cream works perfectly. It cools the salad and brings that creamy texture that balances the heat of the spices.
